Sports marketing positions a company's products and brand name before the consumer. The advantages are enormous: little or no risk, low cost and a high probability of success. In return for the sponsor's investment, the brand name gets displayed on the car and driver's suit, as well as on the team's accessories and materials. This type of advertising and publicity leaves a lasting impression upon the memory of the track public, as well as upon fans watching the race on television or viewing magazine and newspaper coverage.
